Super Specialty Program in Critical Care Medicine (DrNB Critical Care Medicine) is a 3 year comprehensive course conducted at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital under aegis of National Board of Examination, Delhi. Admission to this course is through a common entrance test conducted by National Board of Examinations, Delhi.
We also conduct courses of IFCCM (Indian Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine), IDCCM (Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine) under the aegis of ISCCM (Indian society of Critical Care Medicine). Students from varied faculties including Internal medicine, Anaesthesiology, Chest Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery and Orthopaedics can apply for these courses directly to our department.
Students are exposed to wide variety of case mix (medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, haematology, pulmonology, infectious diseases, trauma, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynaecology, transplant medicine etc.) presenting to critical care unit through structured rotations to our various super speciality intensive care units during their training program. We have a very structured Residency Program including weekly didactic lectures by Critical care consultants and super speciality consultants, presentations by students and journal club discussions. Students trained in Critical Care Medicine at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre have excelled at national and international levels.
Department of Emergency Medicine conducts a 3 year course in DNB Emergency Medicine accredited by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. Entrance to this program is through common entrance test conducted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
